Shōgun Synopsis: A comienzos del siglo XVII, John Blackthorne (Richard Chamberlain), un navegante inglés, naufraga en la costa de Japón. Al ser rescatado se convierte en testigo de la peligrosa lucha de Toramaga (Toshirô Mifune), un señor feudal que pretende ser Shogun, el máximo dictador militar. Pasa el tiempo y un día Blackthorne decide ser el primer "Gai-Jin" (extranjero) que se convierta en un guerrero samurai.
