0:48 | top Titanium but here we are no I

0:51 | because the emotional stakes at the

0:52 | moment again without giving anything

0:54 | away it is so grounded in what

0:56 | everyone’s going through at that point

0:57 | in the movie and you know that in and of

1:19 | honestly she’s not a superhero i don’t

1:21 | think so but she also like is and she

1:24 | isn’t yeah she kind of just like always

1:25 | is but she defies genre i think like

1:28 | honestly what Gerard did so beautifully

1:30 | in the first movie is establish this

1:32 | like super unique tone with these very

1:34 | unique characters obviously like the

1:36 | essentially the lead of the movie is a

1:38 | robot and so a human robot as your lead

1:41 | gives you permission to do all kinds of

1:43 | things and the tone of the first movie

1:45 | extrapolated into different genres is

1:47 | like the magic trick of this universe I

1:49 | think so in the first movie we’re in a

1:51 | kind of grounded like horror thriller

1:52 | comedy world and now we’re in an action

1:54 | movie and like where will we go next i

1:57 | don’t know but we know that she’s going

1:58 | to be consistent and we’ll just continue

2:02 | to be her fierce self definitely always

2:05 | fierce that’s what Megan is all the time

2:07 | um your side eyes to her are very funny

2:09 | you’re just like I’m so used to

2:11 | acknowledging like everyone in the room

2:12 | and I’m like “Hey girl that’s exactly

2:15 | the way to handle hard this year.” So

2:17 | definitely there’s no short of action in

2:19 | this film and Allison you definitely get

2:21 | to pack a punch as well so what was it

2:23 | like preparing for those fighting scenes

2:25 | well I didn’t have to learn a whole lot

2:27 | martial art like violence yes you were

2:29 | definitely kicking some butt oh thank

2:31 | you it was so fun getting to practice

2:32 | that that was The stunt team is

2:34 | incredible and I could not we could not

2:36 | have done that without them no it’s so

2:37 | true bike and his entire team were

2:39 | amazing yeah I learned how to like I

2:40 | learned boxing i did physical training

2:43 | all this stuff i just didn’t My my

2:45 | reason for that was like I just didn’t

2:46 | want to get hurt you know i’m not as um

2:48 | bendy and youthful and rubber bandandy

2:50 | as the younger members of Amy and Violet

2:53 | i got to learn Aikido yeah she fully

2:54 | learned Aikido it was really cool to

2:57 | suddenly find these characters who are

2:58 | just like normal people in the first

3:03 | fun for sure and the skills will carry

3:04 | on forever they’re hoping you don’t have

3:06 | to use them but always good to know i’m

3:08 | ready i’m ready redirecting violence in

3:09 | a positive direction yeah definitely now

3:12 | of course this film leans on a lot of AI

3:14 | so for both of you guys um is there any

3:17 | maybe quality of AI that actually scares

3:19 | you in real life or you’re maybe like

3:21 | this is just too good too good that it’s

3:23 | bad i don’t think in real life but I

3:25 | think like a human robot has kind of

3:27 | always gave me like uncanny vibes for

3:29 | sure because I’m like how is that even

3:30 | possible like I don’t even what I think

3:33 | about it it’s definitely creepy but I

3:35 | also think AI is kind of cool as well

3:37 | which is why I think it’s you know I

3:39 | know it’s that double-edged sword I

3:41 | think or paper cutter so to speak i feel

3:43 | like the the thing that is so specific

3:46 | about AI is that it is both helpful and

3:50 | uncanny you know anytime like you get

3:53 | the sense that it’s listen your phone’s

3:54 | listening to you and it serves ads for

3:56 | something that you were just talking

3:57 | about or even thinking i know well that

4:03 | I’m so predictable like either

4:04 | demographically or me as a human but I

4:07 | did recently ask Chachi PT to like write

4:10 | know about me and luckily it wasn’t like

4:19 | yeah but asking it mostly it was like

4:21 | the picture it painted was so boring it

4:23 | was like you live on the east coast and

4:24 | you are like a you like beige and you

4:26 | have a toddler who you’re worried about

4:28 | all the time and I was like “Yeah I

4:29 | guess those things are true.” I don’t

4:33 | She’s getting more powerful soon she’ll

4:35 | be the most dangerous weapon on the

4:38 | put me in a body and I’ll help you stop

4:40 | her you remember what happened last time

4:42 | you threatened to rip out my tongue and

4:45 | put me in a wheelchair i was upset hi

4:48 | Gerard i had so much fun watching this

4:51 | movie and one thing I loved is that

4:53 | Megan definitely packs more punches in

4:57 | story for her and when did you realize

4:59 | she could go full action mode well it

5:02 | just felt like uh you know the the the

5:04 | first movie just really only scraped the

5:06 | surface of what she could do uh and it

5:09 | just it to me it just seemed like um an

5:12 | obvious thing that we’ve just got to go

5:14 | bigger and just you know come up with a

5:17 | formidable villain for her to go against

5:19 | and uh and yeah it’s just the the the

5:22 | reaction to the first movie was so big

5:24 | and bonkers it just felt like it

5:25 | deserved a bonkers sequel you definitely

5:28 | executed that and you brought up a

5:30 | formidable villain which Amelia

5:32 | definitely is so what can we expect from

5:34 | her and how does she challenge Megan in

5:37 | this movie well you know for the the the

5:40 | what what Amelia reminds people of is

5:42 | that for all Megan’s faults at least she

5:44 | kind of had a code like she had an

5:45 | objective to protect Katie i mean she

5:47 | went to some pretty um dark uh you know

5:50 | means to do it um but Amelia doesn’t

5:54 | have that she doesn’t she’s not born

5:55 | into a family she’s almost like an

5:57 | abused orphan in a way so all she’s got

5:59 | is kind of uh animosity you know towards

6:02 | the human race and and and so you know

6:05 | it it create that creates a fun

6:07 | circumstance for uh you know Gemma and

6:09 | and and us to kind of turn to um you

6:13 | know Megan as our only hope which is is

6:15 | fun yeah definitely and how would you

6:16 | say Amelia challenges Megan well she’s

6:20 | you know she’s literally built with

6:22 | military grade hardware and she’s built

6:25 | to do this job whereas Megan’s a toy so

6:28 | Megan has to really step up you know and

6:30 | uh but but you know the the hope is that

6:33 | Megan Megan has the uh the years and the

6:36 | experience on the clock that Amelia

6:37 | doesn’t now Megan has so many different

6:40 | looks in this movie that are so amazing

6:43 | so how did you decide on creating these

6:45 | different looks and creating what Megan

6:47 | 2.0 actually looked like well yeah it’s

6:49 | funny that you know the it was obviously

6:52 | a bold step even changing the costume at

6:54 | all because the first one was so iconic

6:56 | but it just made no sense for her to be

6:58 | in the same outfit because she was

7:00 | designed as a toy so if she’s going to

7:01 | be doing all of these things in the real

7:03 | world we’ve got to think of um other

7:05 | things she can wear and uh that’s why I

7:08 | got um uh Jeriana Sanan on on board who

7:11 | uh designed the costumes for a lot of

7:14 | you know great shows and films but

7:16 | Holston was one that I I was just like

7:18 | it’s the costumes are so good so good

7:20 | yeah so so uh I got her on board and and

7:23 | her and I work really closely um Megan

7:26 | has a particular style uh you know in

7:29 | terms of her new outfit she she kind of

7:31 | even though she’s this uh uh marvel of

7:34 | modern technology there’s a timelessness

7:36 | and a and a classicness to her so you

7:39 | know it was always Audrey Hitburn and

7:41 | you know those starlets from the 50s for

7:42 | the first movie and now in in with this

7:45 | outfit um it’s like I think Janna sort

7:48 | of like stepped her into the 60s a

7:49 | little bit so she has a little bit more

7:51 | swagger and she’s a little bit more

7:52 | she’s grown a few inches so she you know

7:55 | so so yeah but you know the cyber punk

7:58 | outfit as well was was really fun to

7:59 | design and that was obviously very anime

8:01 | inspired uh and also she has this

8:04 | incredible cat suit at the end it was

8:05 | just really fun it’s like on the first

8:07 | movie we didn’t really get to play dress

8:08 | ups at all you know but but on this

8:10 | movie we do oh definitely yeah this

8:12 | movie just takes her to a whole new

8:14 | level i think she’s my next favorite

8:15 | action star i in my mind I was like this

8:18 | can she go toe-to-toe with Tom Cruz yeah

8:20 | I think so she can take his job you know

8:22 | I I hear he’s leaving so exactly final

8:25 | reckoning um but could you see Megan as

8:27 | maybe our next favorite superhero and if

8:29 | so maybe a super villain you might want

8:31 | to see her face off against oh yeah no I

8:33 | would love that in terms of super

8:35 | villain I don’t I don’t know but

8:36 | definitely it has to be someone uh as

8:38 | formidable as as Aana was as Amelia yeah
