One of the most popular shows, The Mysterious Benedict Society is an American family mystery adventure drama television series which is created by American screenwriters Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay. The series is based on the same name children’s books which were written by well-known American authors Trenton Lee Stewart. Manfredi and Hay are also the executive producers of the series along with James Bob in, Karen Kehela Sherwood, Deepak Nayar, Todd Slavkin Darren Swimmer, and Jamie Tarses.

In February 2020, the series featured Tony Hale playing the role of twin brothers Mr. Curtain and Mr. Benedict. In the same year, in April, the makers hired MaameYaa Boafo, Gia Sandhu, Seth Carr, Marta Kessler, Kristen Schaal, Ryan Hurst, Mystic Inscho, and Emmy DeOliveira, as the regular cast of the series.

Filming was scheduled to start in British Columbia in 2020 but was postponed because of the Covid-19 pandemic. But then it officially started on August 26 and wrapped on January 19, 2021. With a two episodes premiere, the series debuted on June 25, 2021. The first season of the series received a decent reaction from critics and audiences. The series has received an approval rating of 86% on Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic, with a score of 66 out of 100.

The first Season of the series debuted on June 25, 2021, and concluded on August 6, 2021, with 8 episodes. After the positive responses from audiences and critics, the makers have decided to renew the series for a second Season. So, on September 28, 2021, the show got renewed for a second Season by the OTT platform Disney+.

The makers have also confirmed that the second Season will be aired on October 26, 2022, with its first two episodes. The third episode will be released on November 2. But it is not yet confirmed how many episodes the new Season will have.

According to Disney, Season 2 will reunite the orphans following their initial mission and now they will go on another journey depending on wits, intellect, and empathy, attempting to stop Curtain while he brings in a new strategy that could lead to global complications. The story could be based on the second book titled The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Perilous Journey. There is a possibility that there will be a scavenger hunt with a lot of riddles since the children would search for Mr. Benedict and Number Two. The kids’ benefactor and his assistant have been abducted by his twin. Mr. Curtain is after the children. Deadline reported that the pie truck will also play an important role.
