Witch at Court is a 2017 South Korean television series that aired on KBS2 from October 9 to November 28, 2017, on Mondays and Tuesdays at 22:00 (KST) time slot.
The main storyline of the show portrays all the injustices and issues faced by women related to sex crimes. A prosecutor who is always explaining ways to win every prosecution and a neophyte prosecutor are thrown together to tackle sex crime cases in this show. With absolute animosity, they solve all the cases together. This k-drama has pervasive crime but the hardest job is to actually implement the justice procedure to combat it.
Justice is not something one in normal and healthy circumstances must fight for since it is every individual’s basic right. As usual in legal dramas, justice is misused for personal advantages and interests and it is no longer about what is actually right or wrong but more about making the weaker link lose constantly.
A rich female prosecutor is assigned to a special force for sexual offenses and she is fearless and outspoken about and is not afraid to use personal attacks, manufacture evidence, or inspire perjury in trying to beat her case. A new defendant also enters the task squad, and they both work together to solve all the cases with a grudging chemistry.
Witch at Court Season 2 Possible Release Date
It is quite skeptical regarding if there will be a second season of the show but there is little hope regarding it’s renewal. There is no confirmed news from official sources regarding the show’s future or continuation but according to the producers, since the show does not have much story to show in another season, its return is unlikely and difficult. On the other side, there are some k-drama fans who assumed a potential season 2 even before the release of the first season.
Although it has been almost 4 years, sources and rumors say that season 2 is indeed in the thought of the makers and they “might” be working on it already. If it happens, then we cannot expect the release any time before the end of 2022 or early 2023 at the earliest owing to all the time it will take for production and other formalities.
